Ashfield Amateur Swim Club Inc (AASC) is a not for profit, incorporated, family oriented community swimming club which is solely volunteer run. The Club started 55 years ago and has members aged from 2 to 70 plus. AASC is an inclusive swimming club that offers a friendly, welcoming environment for all members and potential members who can “come and try”. Some members are multi-generational – grandparents, parents and children.

AASC provides benefits for the local community including: 

• Community based swimming race based program
• Club swimmers can also enter Swimming NSW events – The club acknowledges the support of the federal government through the Pay our Way grant 2024 – 2027
• regular structured physical activity through swimming
• local swimming carnival
• community based social activity such as breakfast BBQs
• The club has a Safeguarding Children and Young People policy following the guidlines of Swimming Australia
• NSW Royal Lifesaving Swim and Survive program, including the Bronze medallion award and Swim Teacher courses. The club acknlowdges the support of Inner West Council Council grant funding in 2025 and 2026.
• Resuscitation course each year. The club acknowledges the support of the federal government through the Play our Way grant 2024 – 2027
• Focus on improving personal best and personal fitness
• Ocean races and annual camping at Coledale beach for particiaption in Nippers program – The club acknowledges the support of the federal government through the Play our Way grant 2024 – 2027
• Meet Saturdays at Ashfield Aquatic Centre 7 am – 9 am October to end of March
• Club members have access to free Ashfield Aquatic Centre (AAC) pool entry on Saturday morning, AAC Swim School “leanr to Swim” and Squad programs. The club acknowledges the support of the federal government through the Play our Way grant 2024 – 2027.
• Club Members receive club shirt when joining. The club acknowledges the Wests sponsorship for the club shirts in 2025 – 2026.
