Other Awards

The Club marks the achievements of its members and their performances through a number of other awards as a tribute to either individual sporting achievements or have contributed to the objects of the club in a special way that is recognized and appreciated by the club.

These awards include the:

1. Tadpole and Tinkerbelle Trophies

The Tadpole & Tinkerbelle trophies are encouragement awards to the younger children in the club who are judged to have put in the biggest effort throughout the whole season in terms of attendance and attitude without achieving a top place in the championships or pointscore.

2. Neville Toelle Memorial Trophy

The Neville Toelle Memorial Trophy is awarded to the winner of the Ladies Sub-Junior Pointscore.

Neville Toelle was a member of the Club for many years and served on the Committee at the time of his death during the 1989-90 season. Neville’s daughter, Marnee, won the Sub-Junior pointscore for that season.

As a fitting way to commemorate Neville’s contribution to the Club, a perpetual trophy was commissioned for the Ladies Sub-Junior Pointscore and dedicated in Neville’s memory.

3. David Campbell Memorial Trophy

The David Campbell Memorial Trophy is awarded at the President’s discretion for the Club Person of the Year.

David Campbell was a long serving member whose energy and commitment to the Club were an example to others.

David passed away after a long illness on 20 August 2000 and this trophy was renamed to honour him and his contribution to the club.
